Closing of the Guild

 

Tylenol, Rokyu and Kair, along with our officer core, Shallesa, Naiderye, Celleboop and Kelenved have decided to close the guild with plenty of time for people to find another home before Velious launches on August 28, 2019.

 

This is with a heavy heart, but we really are all feeling the burn out of the grind of attempting to recruit and keep around 30 dedicated members happy without the numbers to really progress with raiding content. Our goal with Ship Wrecked has always been to provide the best possible gaming experience for our membership while defeating content in era. It doesn't feel enough to simply take down the easier Kunark targets without the bigger ones like Trakanon and Gorenaire. Also continuing to grind classic bosses and zones we've been doing for all of classic and half of Kunark now.

 

World of Warcraft Classic is coming very soon (the day before Velious launches honestly...08/27/19) and we feel that the excitement for WoW Classic will completely eclipse whatever we may be trying to do in EverQuest. Our leadership team has already decided we'll be playing WoW Classic and the idea that really doubling effort in Kunark to be competitive for Velious isn't really energy we want to spend at this time.

 

 

We did attempt to look for a guild merger, we reached out to another guild who seemed to be a very similar match with raid times to Ship Wrecked, and a similar philosophy with regards to real life and having fun with the friends. They have rejected our offer of merger after a long discussion this week with their leaders and officers. There were no hard feelings, they just don't want to take on the possible negative aspects and dynamic changes a merger could introduce to their environment. They are good guys, and we respect that decision.

 

We thank every member of Ship Wrecked past and present and hope to find our way together again in another game or TLP in the future.
